THE ALPHV RANSOMWARE GANG STOLE 5TB OF DATA FROM THE MORRISON COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

The ALPHV/BlackCat ransomware group claims to have hacked Morrison Community Hospital, stealing 5TB data, including patients’ and employee’s information. The group has begun contacting journalists due to lack of response from hospital representatives. This year, 29 US health systems, encompassing 90 hospitals, have been affected by ransomware, with data stolen in at least 23 instances. Various other ransomware groups, including LockBit and Rhysida, have also recently targeted hospitals.
